What is aimaitred?
A hospitality platform for restaurants, bars, clubs and event venues. Guests scan a QR code and get a menu where dishes play as video, in their own language, filtered to what is safe for their allergies. They order, split the bill and can pay by card. Behind that, the venue gets the kitchen display, bar queue, runner station, floor map, reservations, staff scheduling, suppliers, day close and an AI copilot that watches the service and flags what needs attention.
Can I show video of my dishes on the menu?
Yes. Every dish can carry a video that plays like a reel: full screen, muted to start, sound when the guest taps. You can upload a video file or paste a link to an Instagram reel, a TikTok, a YouTube video, a Facebook video or a Pinterest pin. A poster frame is captured from the video automatically, so you do not have to make a thumbnail. Photos work too, and both sit alongside the description, price and allergens.
Can guests share my dishes on social media?
Yes, and it is built to send the benefit to you rather than to us. One tap opens the phone's own share sheet, so the guest posts the dish to Instagram, WhatsApp or their Stories. When the dish video is an Instagram reel, tapping the heart opens your real reel, so the like lands on your account. You can pin one reel to the top of your menu, and after the bill is paid guests are offered a follow-us card with an optional reward you set, plus a prompt to leave a Google review.
Can guests pay by card from the menu, and who receives the money?
Yes, and the money is yours from the first second. You connect your own Redsys card terminal in the dashboard integrations, so a guest paying from their phone pays your merchant account directly. aimaitred never holds, routes or touches that money, and takes 0% of it. Guests can also pay in person by cash or card, or at the till, and you can switch tipping or a service charge on or off.
Do I need new hardware or a new till system?
No. It runs in the browser on the phones, tablets and screens you already own. The kitchen display works on any spare tablet, the waiter view on staff phones. Card payment uses your own terminal, if you want that at all. There is no aimaitred hardware to buy, rent or install.
Do guests have to download an app or create an account?
No, and they never will. The guest scans the QR code and the menu opens in their browser. No download, no registration, no password, no email required to order or to split a bill. That is a deliberate product rule, not a current limitation.
How does bill splitting work?
The guests do it themselves, before the waiter arrives. They can split equally, split by item so everyone pays for what they ate, cover the whole table, cover a group within it, or pay per person. The maths is done on the server in whole cents, so the parts always add up to the bill exactly. Your staff stop doing arithmetic at the table.
How do you handle allergens?
A ten-second check-in at the start filters the entire menu to what is safe, and every item shows its allergens in the guest's language. Drink allergens are suggested automatically, so sulphites in wine and gluten in beer do not get forgotten. You get a printable allergen matrix for inspections. Allergen names are never machine-translated: they use hand-checked vocabulary for each language, because a mistranslated allergen is a safety failure rather than a typo. This covers EU Regulation 1169/2011 and is included on every plan, including the cheapest.
How many languages does the guest menu speak?
25, detected automatically from the guest's own phone, so a German family and a Japanese couple at neighbouring tables each read the menu in their own language without touching a setting. Your dish names stay exactly as you wrote them, everywhere, so they match what the kitchen and the printed menu say.
What does aimaitred cost?
Three plans. Starter is £14.99 a month for the video menu, QR codes and guest bill splitting. Operations is £49 a month plus £0.03 an order, capped at £99 a month, and adds full table ordering, the kitchen display, bar queue, runner and floor map. Pro is £99 a month plus £0.01 an order, capped at £199, and adds bar tabs, reservations, events, staff, suppliers and AI briefings. Yearly billing gives you two months free. Once a cap is reached in a month, every further order that month is free.
Does it work for a bar or a club, or only restaurants?
Bars and clubs are first-class, not an afterthought. There is a bar queue separate from the kitchen, bar tabs, fast drink ordering, pay at the till, and drink allergens suggested automatically. Event venues get event pages, guest lists and push reminders. You switch on the modules your venue needs and the price follows what is on.
Will my guests see aimaitred's branding?
Not unless you want them to. On Operations and above you can hide it completely, so guests see your logo and your colours and nothing of ours. Never showing our name to your guests without your say-so is a rule we hold ourselves to.
I have more than one venue. Is there a discount?
Yes, and it applies automatically. Your highest-tier venue pays the standard price and every other venue on the same account gets 50% off the plan fee. Per-order fees and their caps stay per venue. There is no minimum number of venues and nothing to negotiate.
How long does it take to set up?
An afternoon for most venues, and the menu is the slow part. Photograph your existing menu or upload a PDF and the AI reads it into the system with dishes, prices, descriptions and allergens, which you then correct rather than type. Print your QR codes and you are live. It is free to start and there is no card required.
